2 week checkup

Mom took me to my two week check up on Tuesday. My doctor said mom and I are both doing great. I am now 8lbs. 10oz and 21 3/4 inches long. They told mom I was in the 93rd percentile for my height. Mom couldn't wait to call dad and tell him. As soon as we called dad he called Grandpa Pat to share the news. Dad said Grandpa Pat was excited too but he doesn't think I am going to be a 7 footer or anything.

Big Day

We went see to my first movie and to my 2nd Creighton Prep basketball game today. Jessica brought her friend Lauren along. I slept through both the movie and the game, even though it was really loud sometimes. I met Coach Luedtke and he likes to hold me. I told him how tall I was already and gripped his hand real tight so he knows I will have some handles. I hope we can go to a lot more games this year.

My bed

I took a nap in my big bed this afternoon. I have been sleeping in the bassinet that Charlie made for me. I like it a lot but it is real close to mom and dad's bed so I don't know how long I will get to stay in there. I do have some cool toys in my big bed though so it should be fun. Dad says I don't need a blanket so I have a football instead. Mom has about 4 blankies for me to choose from so I have not decided which direction to go yet, I am just doing a little test driving in the meantime.

Diann & Terry

Diann and Terry came over to see me on Monday night. Diann thinks I am really cute and said I could come hang out with her just like my sister Jessica. They gave Jessica her own video camera so she can tape me. She uses it to make movies and sometimes I am in the movies.

Merry Christmas

The first week of my life sure has been busy. My big sister Jessica has been showing me the ropes. She can change my diapers and everything-mom says she is a great helper and in a couple years we may even get to stay home alone(Mila told me to be careful for what I wish for but sounds fun to me). We have a had a lot of people come meet me and last night Santa even came. I got some cool toys but I don't really know how to play with them yet. My dad says that playing for me is pretty much having my eyes open. My first night at my home was a little rough, I stayed up almost all night--I was partying. I felt bad for my mom the next day because she was really tired so ever since then I sleep for about 6 straight hours every night so she can get some rest.

Aunt Julie flew in from New York to see me and she sure likes to hold me. Papa, Grandma Larson and Brian came and stayed with us for a couple days. Mike and Jamie also came over and spent the night too--my cousins Nick and Jack sure are a lot bigger then me. Dad says they will toughen me up and teach me how to play sports.

On Christmas Eve we all met the Grandpa and Grandma O'Rourke, Mila, Ryan, Andrea & Delaney at church.I stared at Delaney during mass--she sure is cute, I hope she has pretty friends she can introduce me to some day. Then The Larson's and The O'Rourke's all came over to our house for dinner. Everyone enjoyed refreshments, dinner, and then played games late into the evening(I was on the boys team and we won--Papa does not like to lose). I sure hope some day I get to try out the prime rib, I guess I am too little now.

My First Day of Life!

Here is the story I heard...

Mommy was feeling really bad Tuesday afternoon. So, we went to the doctor. The doctor said I was not quite ready to come and mommy and daddy had to go home. Well, I disagreed and at 1:45 in the morning I decided it was time! My mommy's water broke (whaterever that means) daddy called aunt Andrea to come watch my big sister Jessica. She got to my house really fast and we were off to the hospital! It was not 5 hours later and I arrived. Mommy and daddy were so excited to see me and I was a healthy 8lbs 1oz. Daddy thought I was HUUUUMUNGUS! It was a big day for the whole family. Aunt Mila and big sister Jessica came to visit me in the morning and Jessica was soooo excited and she holds me like an old pro. Grandma and Grandpa Larson and Uncle Brian came up from Shanendoah. They all think I am really cool. Grandma Nancy stayed over night to take care of Jessica so mommy and daddy could stay with me at the hospital. We got to go home Wednesday afternoon. I was not the best sleeper the first night home, but last night I did a great job. I think it had to so with the circumcision (OUCH). We will see how tonight goes!

Doing Great!

So, I am 3 days old and doing great! Grandma and Grandpa O'Rourke came from Fort Dodge to see me today. They were very excited to meet me.
